ABOUT ME

I learned to draw faces before knowing how to add and subtract. My older sister, Jena, noticed 5 year old me hovering over her shoulder as she sketched the face of a gorgeous woman for her junior high art class. Jena taught me the basics of the human face; from that day forward, I have remained fascinated.

I love the makeup industry. Over the past 16 years, painting faces has opened a world of opportunity, travel and education I could never have received any other way.

Facial features should be showcased and celebrated; never hidden or unloved. So much time and money is wasted on what we find to be 'wrong' with ourselves. We should revel in the divinity of our individual, unique architecture, instead of fatalizing over perceived 'flaws'. Makeup offers this insight: sharpening physical aspects the Creator of the Universe specially designed, to heighten our beauty potential.

Makeup is art-in-motion,  a passion that has evolved into one of my greatest loves.

My childhood fascination with art elevated through high school, sharpened while attending the University of Montevallo, and eventually found its way into the cosmetic industry.

Since 2007, I have been blessed to work under some of the most talented masters in the field.

I have been associated with makeup lines including Laura Mercier, Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, Bare Escentuals and Christian Dior.  Each line opened opportunities in editorial, theater and film. My journey has been amazing.
